Lynch Public Schools Schools

The Lynch Public School is a K-12 school system fully accredited by the Nebraska Department of Education. It is estimated that 99 percent of the eighth grade students graduate from high school and over 60 percent go on to post secondary education. Vocational courses offered in the high school include business, industrial technology and family and consumer sciences. Adult educational courses are offered in conjunction with Northeast Community College and Wayne State Collge.

Lynch Public School has fully interactive audio/visual connection between 16 sites including area high schools, Northeast Community College, Wayne State College and Education Service Unit #8 at Neligh. Students can see and communicate with students and instructors in other high schools who are taking a particular course. This state-of-the-art fiber optic transmission system was made possible through the Excellence in Education lottery grant funding and local cost sharing. The Distance Learning Center provides education resources for K-12 as well as college through graduate work without ever leaving the local area.

Lynch Public School is a member of the Niobrara Valley Conference (NVC) in Northeast Nebraska. The NVC includes 16 schools, with over 3,500 pupils participating in music, speech/drama and sports. Nearly 90 percent of the Lynch High School students participate in extra-curricular activities which include boys and girls basketball, boys and girls track, cheerleading/drill team, football, instrumental music, speech/drama, vocal music, volleyball, and powerlifting.
